Meet the Doctors
Dr. Shuvir S. Bhattacharya, M.S., D.C.
You can call him Dr. B, as most of his patient's do. He has been in practice for more than 25 years, Dr. Bhattacharya has treated thousands of patients ranging from treatment of injuries from vehicular accidents, on-the-job injuries, disc herniations, common neck and back problems as well as extremity conditions; such as frozen shoulder, knee joint problems etc.
He continues to improve his knowledge and skills in the treatment of these injuries and illnesses through continuing education courses and networking with other specialties. Dr. Bhattacharya has a Master of Science Degree in biology with research in microbial biochemistry using E-coli strain for amino acids. Prior to practicing as a chiropractor, Dr. B worked in respiratory therapy departments at various hospitals in Greater Houston area; where he gave bronchodilator treatments, performed and interpreted Arterial Blood Gases, put patient on Ventilators in surgical ICU, Neuro-ICU and also covered trauma rooms at Hermann Hospital here in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Bhattacharya has appeared as an expert witness in settlement trials, arbitrations and has given depositions. He has appeared on many call-in radio programs during meet the doctor segments as well as interviewed on Asian television programs by other doctors. Dr. B has been actively involved in the Texas Chiropractic Association - District 11 and held the position of treasurer from 1991-1994.

Prior to becoming a Houston Chiropractor, Dr. Lauren, has been actively involved in the chiropractic profession. She has been married to Dr. Shuvir Bhattacharya for 25 years and has always worked beside him at Crown Wellness Center first as his office manager and now practicing the art & science of chiropractic. Together they have raised five children.
She held several officer positions in the Texas Chiropractic Association Auxiliary from the local district level all the way to the state level.
She was elected as President of the Texas Chiropractic Association Auxiliary statewide for two consecutive terms (1995-1997).
Dr. Lauren was named Chiropractic Woman of the Year
(1992-1993) Texas Chiropractic Association District 11.

Rakesh Bhattacharya, B.S., D.C.
Dr. Rakesh Bhattacharya was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas. He went on to pursue Biology studies at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX and continued his academics to complete a Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) in Pasadena, TX his home town.
During his studies at TCC, Dr. Bhattacharya completed an internship at Moody Health Center where he provided chiropractic healthcare to his patients. He was exposed to many different cases where he diagnosed and successfully treated conditions such as Adhesive Capsulitis, Rotator Cuff Syndrome, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tennis Elbow, Cervical Disc Herniations, Lumbar Disc Herniations, Chronic Low Back pain, Facet Syndrome and Piriformis Syndrome.
Dr. Bhattacharya was exposed to other internal conditions such as Diabetes, Gluten Intolerance and Hypothyroidism where he co-managed with other medical doctors.
He has treated patients in all age ranges from 10 years old to 68 years young. He continues to expand his knowledge with every patient he helps in order to give the best available care possible. As a Chiropractor he is avid about his patients’ getting back to a good health state and staying there, promoting wellness activities with nutritional and dietary advice.
He is a current member in the American Chiropractic Association and Texas Chiropractic Association.
